Preview: The Influence of Sharing on Subsistence Work in Hunter-Gatherer Societies

Whilst I am still working on translating the last part of my previous essay on the origin of the Elder Futhark I wanted to announce my next project. Within the next two to three months I will publish at least one essay one the influence of sharing on subsidence work in hunter-gatherer societies.

So far little more than some inital research and a provisional table of contents has been done, but because the project is already taking on shape I wanted to share it here.

The table of content so far includes the following:

1. Introduction

2. Subsistence work in the context of this essay

3. What are modern hunter-gatherer societies?

3.1 Similarities

3.2 Differences

4. Work in modern Hunter-Gatherer Societies

4.1 Time allocation, Types and division of work

4.1.1 Women

4.1.2 Men

5. The influence of sharing

6. Resumee

I’m hoping to be able to start translating the essay by the end of May and to publish it by the beginning of June. Until then I will continue working on the translation of “The Origin Of The Elder Futhark”, the last part of which will be published soon.
